At that time, she was just in high school and learned the basics of reporting. At KWOA radio in Worthington, one of her first assigned tasks was to cover the tornado that touched down in southwest Minnesota.he gained her first real on-air opportunity at KDLT-TV in Sioux Falls.
At KDLT, she spent two years. Prior to that, she had the opportunity to work with CNN for a few months and was later employed for half a year as a robotic camera operator at a large NBC station. Liz then joined KWCH-TV, Wichita, Kansas for three years, working as a reporter.
