Austin began working for the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop at the age of 21, where he worked for five years before filming the first season of the reality television series Pawn Stars, in July 2009. His duties include behind-the-counter work at the shop such as loading items, testing items, and writing tickets for items purchased by customers.

The majority of the guns were found in a bedroom vault safe, together with 17 multi-dose ‘bars’ of the anti-anxiety drug Xanax and seven cases containing small amounts of methamphetamine, police said.
