Abby Phillip is an American digital journalist. She is a CNN White House Correspondent based in Washington, D.C. She joined the network in 2017 to cover the Trump Administration.
Abby is best known for her appearances on CNN and other TV networks. She previously worked at The Washington Post where she served as a national political reporter, covering the White House.
While there, she wrote extensively on subjects related to the Trump White House, including efforts to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, the president’s overseas trip to Poland and Germany for his first G-20.
Phillip grew up in Bowie, Maryland and graduated from Harvard University in 2010 with a degree in government.

In November, during a long question and answer session with Donald Trump, Abby asked president Trump a direct question, if the president wanted acting attorney general Matthew Whitaker to “rein in” special counsel Mueller.
Trump responded calling the question stupid. “What a stupid question that is. What a stupid question. I watch you a lot, you ask a lot of stupid questions.”
