Farida Bedwei is Ghanaian software engineer whose life and success story beats the imagination. She was born with cerebral palsy, a neurological disorder. Despite the magnitude of the disability, this young lady has braved the limitation. Today she is famous for being the rare miracle of time.
With her condition, she has emerged a force to reckon with in technology. She is one of the top software engineer in Ghana and Africa at large. Farida is the co-founder and chief technical officer of software company, Logiciel. She has worked as a senior software architect at Rancard Solutions. Farida authored a novel titled the Definition Of A Miracle.
As a result of her health condition, Farida was home – schooled till the age of 12. She was born in 1979 in Lagos, Nigeria but moved to her home country, Ghana at the age of 9. Like many in her shoes, Farida is a staunch solicitor of determination, confidence and hard work not pity.
Farida Bedwei has obtain two diplomas and a bachelor of degree in Computer Science. She has bagged an over 16 years experience as a software engineer. The tech-amazon also has a wealth of knowledge in architecture, telecoms and banking services.
At the moment, she is working with the Ghanaian government to re-brand the micro-finance industry. That way, artisans can have an easier access to loans. To this effect, she has come up with the gkudi software. This App is currently used by 130 micro-finance companies in Ghana.
