Rachael Okonkwo Biography
Rachael Okonkwo popularly known as Nkoli Nwa Nsukka is a Nigerian film actress best known for a film by the same name. She is also a model, dancer, and philanthropist. Rachael hails from Ukpata in Uzo Uwani Local government area of Enugu State, located in the South East, Nigeria.
She started acting in 2005 but due to lack of movie roles, she switched career to dancing. Okonkwo then joined Nollywood in 2007 playing very minor roles after registering with the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) Enugu Chapter at the National Museum in GRA, Enugu, Nigeria.
In 2008, she played a supporting role to Ini Edo & Van Vicker in Royal War 2, alongside Patience Ozokwor in 2010 and alongside John Okafor in Open and Close 1 & 2. Her first major role and consequently her breakthrough movie came in 2014, where she played the lead character in Nkoli Nwa Nsukka as Nkoli.

Is Rachael Okonkwo Married? Rachael is currently not married but she has an interest in marriage someday. There were rumors that she was dating Ken Erics, a popular Nigerian actor. Rachael says that she will never sacrifice her career for marriage and she is sure that she will be able to combine family and movie acting. Rachael Okonkwo’s husband can be an actor as well, as she said in some interviews.
However, she seems to be engaged. In March 2018, the Nollywood actress shared a photo of a hand with a ring on the ring finger on it and captioned it “someone said yes last night”. She has however not come out to talk about the whole situation.

The two have been in a relationship although for the part of work not in real life. Lately, Ken Erics shared an Instagram picture he took with Rachel and captioned it ‘Raw babyyy @rachaelokonkwo (kisses kisses). Subsequently, Rachel replied with more of the same kind of picture with a lovely caption, “Kenee baby…Peace @kenerics’ Perhaps the two actors want to publicly declare their love for each other and to clearly tell their fans that they have officially started dating.

Okonkwo completed both primary and secondary education in Nsukka, Enugu State. She had her First School Leaving Certificate and the West African Senior School Certificate. Later, Rachael joined the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in Enugu State.

In her own special way of giving back to the society, Okonkwo hosts an annual carnival which aims at providing free gifts to kids and entertainment to the people. She says it enables her to interact with her fans.
In 2015, Rachael hosted the first edition of the children’s Easter Carnival aimed at giving free gifts to kids during the Easter celebration in Enugu. In 2016, the second edition which was held in Onitsha had even more turnout as she was accompanied by fellow actors like Ken Erics among others to the event.
The 2017 edition which was held in her city of birth Nsukka was able to gather over 5000 people, featured even more celebrities like Angela Okorie, Nonso Diobi, Slowdog, Ken Erics, Eve Esin and supported by top brands enabled it to be an even bigger event than its predecessors.
