In 1962, when Leong was ten years old, they repositioned to Los Angeles, where he attended Hollywood High School.
After high school, Leong started working as a camera grip in the flick industry. He ultimately started training in martial arts, and he was finally asked by a director to teach some moves to a group of children on a movie set. Leong did as per the director’s request, and the director was so impressed that he invited Leong to perform the camera moves himself. This was how Leong got his beginning in acting and stunt career.
