Alex Ekubo Okwaraeke is a Nigerian actor and model. He is the first runner up at the 2010 Mr. Nigeria contest. He won the Best Actor in a Supporting Role award at 2013 Best of Nollywood Awards for his role in the Weekend Getaway.

He attended the Federal Government College Daura, Katsina State. He studied Law at the University of Calabar and later a diploma in Mass Communication from Calabar Polytechnic.

Alex Ekubo joined the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) as an actor in the year 2005 and acted in his first movie “Sinners in the House” a movie that was produced and directed by popular filmmaker Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen. Although he played a minor role in his first movie, he rose to fame after acting in the blockbuster movie “Ladies Men”.
Since joining Nollywood, Alex Ekubo has starred in more than 50 Nollywood movies which include True Citizens, Undercover Lover, Dream Walker, Weekend Getaway, Gold Diggin, Keeping my Man, All that Glitters, Death Toll, Diary of a Lagos Girl, Single Married and Complicated, etc.
