Article by Alyssa Orange;
Kevin Jones is the man behind the organ sounds your hear at Baum-Walker Stadium, and his love for baseball and the organ started back in his hometown.
A Little Rock, AR, native, Jones says he would go to Arkansas Travelers game because he loved the sounds of the organ. He also loves baseball, but the organist was the main reason he loved the games.
As a member of the local band, Goose, Jones was approached by Jimmy Sanchez who coordinates marketing and in-game entertainment for baseball to play at homes games at Baum-Walker.
Jones jumped at the opportunity.
It was a hit, and since then, you can see Jones playing just left of the press box. From the traditional tunes including “Take Me Out Of The Ballgame” to the latest pop hits, Jones plays a little bit of everything while behind the keys.
