Andrea was born to Armenian immigrant parents who originated from the Ottoman Empire where they had to escape the Armenian Genocide. As an actress, she has won various Tony Awards for both MyFavorite Year and the 2013 revival of Pippin. Andrea has even made credible appearances in various Broadway shows such as Hairspray live among others.

Immediately after graduation, Andrea portrayed her first role in a film titled You’re a Good Man. She then relocated to New York City after frequent visits to Toronto in 1970. From there, she immediately found other opportunities in television, theater and film.
