Broadcasting

After leaving Trial Blazers and KOIN in 2005, she began a new broadcasting endeavor. She called sporting events for college Sports Television(CSTV). She also acted as a play-by-play announcer. This is also a women’s basketball, soccer, and softball analyst.

She worked with CSTV to their transition to CBS College Sports. She still calls games with CSTV as part of the CBS Sports Network. Ann also worked for Fox Sports Net where she called Pac-12 women’s games and Mtn and calling women’s Mountain West Conference games.

FSN lost broadcast rights to the women’s games and Mtn in 2013 and closed its doors. However, Schatz did not lose her place. Ann was hired by Pac-12 Network. She was hired as one of their basketball analysts. ESPN also hired her.

Ann was to call select WNBA games and to work on feature stories. Her ESPN work was featured during the 2014 Winter Olympics. 20 years later, she got global recognition for the special feature on Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding. She is also a motivational speaker.
