Julia dodges a question about Gerald; Joshua ‘hurt’ for ex-GF
Gerald Anderson and Julia Barretto have been in hot waters following rumors of a romantic relationship. Their respective exes, Bea Alonzo and Joshua Garcia comment on the issue.
A week after the whole Gerald Anderson-Bea Alonzo, Julia Barretto-Joshua Garcia “cheating” and “third-party” allegations and insinuations erupted, there’s no sign that rumourmongers are giving it a rest.
Julia faced the media Aug. 1 at the airport, and she seems to be unruffled when ABS-CBN reporter MJ Felipe asked how she is.
The actress and other Kapamilya stars were on their way to San Francisco for a roadshow.
Amid the persistent questions about her alleged romance with Gerald, Julia merely replied she’s excited over “ASAP” in San Francisco.
“It’s actually my first time in San Francisco. I’m excited that I’m going to be with other artists also,” she said.
Julia’s ex-boyfriend, Joshua Garcia, reportedly arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport just minutes before her.
Unlike Julia, the young actor took time to comment on the issue when asked.
He, who has expressed support to Julia despite “cheating” allegations, said he feels for her.
“Siyempre, naging karelasyon ko rin si Julia. Nasasaktan ako for her, sa nangyayari, pero I think makakabangon naman siya,” he said.
Hours after that, a netizen posted a photo of Julia, Joshua and Maja Salvador all smiles in one photo.
Maja is Gerald’s past girlfriend.
In past interviews, the actress-dancer said she would rather not be involved in the issue.
“Ayoko nang sumali. Masaya ako. Ayoko sumali, ayokong sumagot. Sa akin, kung puwede lang, wala na ako diyan,” Maja said.‘Life goes on’
It seems that is the mantra of late of both Gerald and Julia.
Yesterday, Star Events PH posted photos of the two, along with other stars, attending the All-Star games practice.
All-Star Games 2019 gathers Kapamilya stars in a one-day sporting event open to fans.
Gerald is one of the captains of the basketball team, while Julia is on volleyball.
Interestingly, Julia is up against the team of Kim Chiu, who is also Gerald’s ex-lover.
This issue started when pictures of Gerald and Julia attending the birthday party of Rayver Cruz surfaced on social media.
A fan uploaded a photo of the two and claimed they went to the same car.
Gerald’s then publicly known girlfriend Bea Alonzo “liked” the picture, as well as other posts that neitzens thought hinted at cheating.
Bea then shared a cryptic “enough” message on Instagram. What made the post more controversial is when Joshua “liked” it, Julia’s boyfriend of two years until they broke up late June.
Bea finally broke her silence after almost a week since the issue become a hot topic. She claimed in an interview with “Tonight With Boy Abunda” that to her understanding: “We did not break up. He (Gerald) just started not talking to me.”
On July 25, Julia uploaded a photo of her holding a cup with a cryptic caption that read: “The difference between coffee and their opinion is—I asked for coffee.”
The young actress also shared Biblical quotes about revenge. Gerald remains mum on the issue, but he and Julia recently liked this message: “There’s always two sides of the story.”
‘Pushed beyond our limits’: Gerald shares photos from scout ranger training
MANILA—”These pictures don’t give justice to it,” wrote Gerald Anderson to describe what he went through when he took a short 3-day training course to become an Army reservist.
“Three days of the hardest training I have undergone,” he recalled, before adding: “We were pushed physically and mentally beyond our limits. I have learned so much in just three days.”
He shared that he was named their company’s leader, learning how to “lead and stay composed despite any situation,” and that they only had two hours of sleep. Anderson also remembered eating meals while lying down in mud.
“That teaches you a lot –patience, gratitude, appreciation for even the small stuff,” he said.
The training was part of his preparation for his role in the upcoming series, “A Soldier’s Heart.” Co-stars Elmo Magalona, Yves Flores, and Nash Aguas also took and finished the same course.
