Rumors have been circulating that Chloe Bennet, star of ABC’s new hit series “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD,” is romantically involved with “Ray Donovan” star Austin Nichols, but the actress is denying things are that heavy.

Speaking with Us Weekly on Friday (Sept. 27), Bennet shot down the talk of romance. “Ah no, we’re good friends,” she claimed. “We met in L.A. just hanging out.”

The two began spending time together after first meeting on the west coast. Bennet’s “SHIELD” costar Elizabeth Henstridge tweeted a photo on Sept. 15 of the rumored couple amongst a group of friends with the caption, “Things that get better with age; cheese, wine, and laser tag.”
