Mia Wasikowska born in 1989 is an Australian actress raised in the country’s capital, Canberra. She is the daughter of photographers Marzena Wasikowska and John Reid. Her mother is Polish and her father is an Australian of British ancestry. She has an older sister, Jess and a younger brother, Kai. At age eight, her family moved to Poland for a year.

Defiance was her first American movie in the year 2008. She also worked in Amelia in the same year. Till then, Mia was among the top 10 actors on the variety list by the end of 2008. She took her next step by her role in drama that evening sun in 2009. The drama led her independent spirit Award nomination for the best supporting female. Then she got her biggest role as Alice in Wonderland.

In 2011, Mia Wasikowska got a lead role in Jane Eyre and she ranked the Second Highest Grossing actor of 2010 by Forbes. She also named her the most watched star of the year.
