Knight formed the Waterparks band in 2011 alongside Gage Matthieu. They did their first show at the Warehouse Live in Houston on 17th August 2012 alongside Life as Lions, Invent Animate, and DWHB. The band later performed at pop star Aaron Carter on 11th May 2013, and at the Warped Tour in 2013 and 2015 in Houston.

Waterparks’ first EP was Airplane Conversations was released on 3rd April 2012, while their second EP Black Light was released on 5th June 2014. On 6th Nov 2015, Waterparks signed with Equal Visions Records and chose twins Benji Madden and Joel Madden as their managers.
