Bas started rapping in 2010 after being coerced by a friend to enter the entertainment industry. He went on to release a number of mixtapes such as Quarter Water Raised Me and Quarter Water Raised Me II which raised his profile and opened doors for him. He began performing with J Cole on tours which exposed him even to great fame.
