Ladun has worked for Birmingham Television for more than fifteen years and has been awarded the Best Investigative Reporter and Best Specialized Reporter by the Alabama Associated Press Awards.

Cancer enhanced Brenda’s faith and her inner strength and was so stronger than she thought she would be.
The next step for her was surgery to discover whether the cancer had spread to other organs. After a successful surgery, followed by months of chemotherapy. The journey she had through cancer was a shock at first but then Brenda learned so much as a result of the battle, that she wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.
Brenda has made her battle with cancer public by writing three books and holding several events of ‘Conquer Cancer Run’ an annual event in the spring which aims at raising money for cancer research, education, and prevention.
She decided to do anything she could to fight and live a healthy lifestyle over again. Brenda did not know what the future would hold. It truly makes her look back and take account of her life and concludes that the very thing that matter at the end of the day is showing love to the people she cared about in her life.
Brenda has shared her journey with breast cancer in three books such as ‘Behind The Scenes of Breast Cancer’,’ Getting Better Not Bitter’ and Encouraged’. From her fight with cancer, she learned that life is too short to be worried about little things that really don’t matter.
