Brian Dennehy full name ( Brian Manion Dennehy) is an American actor born in Bridgeport, Connecticut whose extensive body of work included film, television, and stage productions. Brian won several notable Awards include two Tony Awards, one Golden Globe and also nominated six times in Prime-time Emmy Award. He gained his popularity (1982) for his role as Sheriff Will Teasle in First Blood.
Brian also played roles in other films like Gorky Park (1983), Silverado (1985), Cocoon (1985), F/X (1986), Presumed Innocent (1990), Romeo + Juliet (1996), and Knight of Cups (2015).

He also appeared in two more films, ‘Looking for Mr. Goodbar’ and ‘Bumpers’ the same year. Brian first films were comic films like Foul Play with Chevy Chase, and 10 with Dudley Moore as an Acapulco bartender), Semi-Tough with Burt Reynolds in which he portrayed a pro football player.
1985 Brian released western Silverado portraying as a corrupt sheriff and an alien in Cocoon. Brian delivered some supporting roles in popular films like the American legal crime comedy film ‘Legal Eagles’, the action-thriller film ‘F/X’, the legal drama ‘Presumed Innocent’, and the movie ‘Prophet of Evil’.
He also featured in the lead roles in films like the 1987 crime thriller film ‘Best Seller’ and the 1987 drama film ‘The Belly of an Architect’ alongside Chloe Webb. Brian also portrayed as Harrison in the Australian film The Man from Snowy River II in 1988.
1980s and 1990s, he appeared in several television films and shows in guest appearances. These included A Killing in a Small Town’, ‘Skokie’, ‘Split Image’, ‘Day One’, A Rumor of War’, ‘Skokie’, and ‘Teamster Boss: The Jackie Presser Story’.
1970s and 1980s Brian began his professional acting career in small guest roles in series as Kojak, Lou Grant, Dallas and Dynasty. Brian appeared in many television films for which he was nominated several times for the Primetime Emmy Awards. He appeared in ‘To Catch a Killer’ as ‘John Wayne Gacy’ and was nominated for the ‘Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or TV Movie. he also portrayed as a recurring character in the NBC sitcom Just Shoot Me! and starred in the popular crime drama Jack Reed TV movies. As a father of main character Brian guest-starred in Rules of Engagement in a 2009 episode.
He recently starred as Elizabeth Keen’s grandfather on the NBC series The Blacklist.
