Brian Keith Death

Keith was suffering from emphysema and lung cancer. However, he had smoked for ten years. Brian was found dead after a self-inflicted gunshot wound in his home on 24 June 1997. He was found in Malibu, California. This was two months after his daughter Daisy had committed suicide. Nevertheless, Brian Keith also had financial problems and suffered from depression.

Maureen O’Hara, during an interview, said that Keith’s death could be just an accident but not suicide. This was because Keith had a large collection of guns which he loved cleaning and showing to people.

Brian Keith was buried in a private wedding in the Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles, California. Some of the Family co-stars who attended the funeral were Kathy Garver, Johnny Whitaker, Hardcastle, McCormick, and Daniel Hugh Kelly.

Keith took up a theatrical acting career after the war. He later took up a cinema career followed by a television career. Nevertheless, he spent several years playing second roles and ardent types like Yuma. He played with Rod Steiger and Sara Montiel.
