In 2010, Mitchell was approached by the executive producers of the reality TV series Swamp People. As the History Channel was most considered in his household, he couldn’t turn down the offer. On the 22nd of August 2010, Mitchell debuted on the show with his signature American bandana and overalls. Since then, He has made multiple impressions in the series.
The series follows the Louisiana-based Gator Hunters who earn their living on the swamp. Over the years the reality show has presented some of the most toxic gator hunters such as Willie Edwards, Troy Landry, Ashley Jones, Terral Evans, Glenn Guist, Daniel Edgar, Big Tee, including snake hunter Dusty Crum.
