Alvarez and his friends formed a backyard wrestling promotion called the Youth Wrestling Foundation, which aired from 1993 to 1995 on Seattle’s Public Access Channel. Years later, Alvarez began working as a referee for local independent shows, eventually leading him back to wrestling when he replaced another wrestler who didn’t show up for an event.
He started wrestling more regularly, at first for free. Mostly Alvarez’ career was spent wrestling in the Pacific Northwest for various independent promotions. He appeared in 2003, losing to The Grappler in the first match of the short-lived Portland Wrestling television revival.
