Cameron Dye Biography

Cameron Dye is an American actor and singer. He is famously known for his role as “Fred” in the movie Valley Girl in 1983. He has also had roles in The Last Starfighter and The Tavern. He has appeared in a number of movies. His career spans more than 30 years.

Among his notable films also include; National Lampoon’s Joy of Sex (1984), Body Rock (1984), Fraternity Vacation (1985), Scenes from the Goldmine (1987), Out of the Dark (1989) and Men at Work (1990). He is a founding member of The Actors’ Gang theatre group. He has performed in plays for the company.

He joined the theater industry through an application. It was accepted by the theater arts department of UCLA. He met Tim Robbins who was at the time a novice actor at UCLA. Cameroon also writes and performs his own music. His songs can be heard on the soundtracks to his films ‘Scenes From The Goldmine’ and ‘The Apocalypse.’
