Caribe graduated from the University of Texas-El Paso with a degree in Elementary Education. Soon after college, fate brought her back into news broadcasting, and Caribe landed her first job as a weathercaster at KFOX-TV in El Paso, Texas. Caribe also worked as a weekend weather anchor at KTSM-TV in El Paso before coming to 12 News.
She holds a certificate of Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University and Caribe is a constituent of the National Weather Association and the National Association of Black Journalists.
