Currently, he is recognized as the host of the Last Call with Carson Daly and the Today live broadcasts. Previously, Carson worked as a VJ on MTV’s Total Request Live.
In 2002, he joined NBC, where he hosted and produced the late-night talk show Last Call with Carson Daly, and sometimes hosted special occasion programming for NBC, such as the Macy’s Fourth of July fireworks show, and executive producing New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly from Times Square starting in 2003.

Daly was born on June 22, 1973, in Santa Monica, California, United States. as the son of car salesman Jim “J.D.” Daly and Coachella Valley TV personality Pattie Daly Caruso (1944-2017). His mother is from Fayetteville, North Carolina. Also, his father died from bladder cancer when Carson was a child, and his mother married Richard Caruso (1932-2017).
However, Daly attended Santa Monica High School and was a member of the school’s golf team before graduating in 1991. He attended Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles but dropped out to follow a pro golf career.
Also, he is of Irish descent and has performed with Guinness on local “Proposition 3-17” to make Saint Patrick’s Day an official holiday. He acted as an intern for Jimmy Kimmel on the radio and started his radio career at College of the Desert and as an intern at the former KCMJ FM (now KKUU) under the name “Kid Carson”.

Last Call With Carson Daly
Last Call with Carson Daly debuted in 2002. Until 2005 when it moved to Los Angeles the show was shot on the same set as Saturday Night Live. The show is a late-night television program hosted by Carson on NBC.
The first half-hour of the show consisted of a number of interviews with famous, actors, comedians, and filmmakers among other celebrities. Unfortunately, the last episode of the show aired on 24th May 2019 after its cancellation.
