Charlotte Hawkins Diet
Good Morning Britain’s Charlotte Hawkins reveals how she lost her baby weight – and what gives her the energy to get up at 2:30am!
So how did GMB presenter get back into shape after her baby? Apparently it’s all down to fitting in exercise whenever she can. You’ll often find her in the dressing room doing 50 sit-ups before going on air. Charlotte Hawkins reveals her get slim secret in our celebrity workout special and how it has had a big impact on her body and mind.
‘I really wanted to feel like I was back to myself when I returned to work. My goal was to be back to my pre-pregnancy size and shape,’ says Charlotte. She achieved it – returning to our TV screens in June 2015 a svelte size 8-10. And all without a gym workout in sight.
‘I didn’t have time for the gym – it’s so full-on being a new mum. I just worked exercise into my daily routine. I took Ella Rose for a power walk every day and did squats anywhere I could,’ she laughs. ‘If I was settling Ella Rose, I did squats with her in my arms. I built up gradually but I hit 200 squats a day,’ she says.
Suffering morning sickness in the early weeks, Charlotte stuck to a carb-fuelled diet and put on around 3 stone in total during her pregnancy. But she was determined to keep fit. ‘I walked everywhere and practised pregnancy yoga throughout. The breathing and relaxation techniques felt so important at a time when my body was going through such a huge change.’
Charlotte returned to yoga a few months after giving birth, having started with pelvic floor exercises to build up her core and regain her waist. ‘They were gentle movements but had a big impact.’
Yoga too has had a big impact on Charlotte’s body and mind. ‘What I love about yoga is that, although it’s a gentler exercise, it actually has so much more of an effect on your body than you think. It strengthens your core and tones you up, but relaxes you at the same time. Yoga gives me the time to allow my body to stretch out and remember where it should be.
Charlotte believes she has a healthy attitude towards nutrition and realises the importance of fitness more than ever before. ‘It’s vital to lead an active life. By that I don’t necessarily mean pumping iron at the gym. It’s about making those little choices that make a difference – I choose stairs rather than the escalator,’ she says. ‘If you do simple things like that every day, it all adds up.’

Charlotte Hawkins Tv Presenter
In 1999 Charlotte Hawkins began her broadcasting career with ITN as a newsreader and reporter for LBC Radio. During the fatal Paddington rail crash, she was one of the first journalists who provided live reports from the scene. She moved to ITV Meridian in 2000 which is in the South East of England where she co-presented the hour-long current affairs series The Big Story.
Hawkins worked for ITV Meridian as co-anchor of their main news programme Meridian Tonight as from October 2003. She has also presented on the ITV News Channel. At Meridian, she presented several pan-regional documentaries, including the half-hour special Britain on the Move. In 2007 Hawkins co-presented The London Boat Show for ITV.
Hawkins left Meridian in December 2006 to join Sky News in January 2007, where she presented Sunrise each Monday to Thursday with Eamonn Holmes. In March 2014 she left the channel. Hawkins presented several stints on Five News, in the absence of stand-in Matt Barbet who was providing maternity leave cover for main presenter Natasha Kaplinsky, for a period in 2010. In 2010, she was an occasional guest news reviewer on the ITV programme This Morning. Hawkins also presented the Sky Arts documentary Andre Rieu: Behind the Music.

Charlotte Hawkins Ascot Dress
The Good Morning Britain presenter is leading the ITV Racing team at the Royal Ascot 2018. In keeping with tradition, the prestigious event hosted Ladies Day today, with Charlotte front and center for the action. While the racing spectacular often attracts style disasters, the 43-year-old made sure to turn heads for all the right reasons. Standing out from the crowd, the blonde wore a striking grey and white dress, which featured a cut-out bodice with sheer panelling underneath. Flashing a hint of leg in the below-the-knee design, Charlotte looked the picture of elegance as she posed against a flower wall for the cameras.
Adding height to her petite stature with a pair of open-toe silver heels, the mum-of-one sported a large grin. Opting to go the whole nine yards, the Brit beauty completed her attire with an over-sized grey fascinator. Taking to her Charlotte Hawkins Instagram, the starlet posted a picture of herself posing on the outskirts of the action. Praising the former Strictly Come Dancing contestant’s appearance, one fan gushed: “Almost a Lady Diana moment there. Gorgeous, Charlotte.
“My blood pressure is thankful there wasn’t [sic].”
Another raved: “You look so beautiful and elegant wearing that gorgeous dress.”
Making reference to comic Leigh Francis’ rude alter ego on ITV2’s Celebrity Juice, a quick-witter viewer quipped: “As Keith Lemon would say — Bang tidy.”
“The ensemble is just gorgeous,” an impressed viewer added.
On Wednesday, Charlotte posed alongside GMB anchor Piers Morgan, 53, at the star-studded races. Clad in an attention-stealing purple dress, the small screen siren held a glass of champagne as she toasted her male counterpart. Not one to fade into the background, Piers made a style statement of his own, donning a grey top hat as he viewed the event from the VIP box.

Charlotte Hawkins takes a hilarious swipe at Piers Morgan as she likens him to a ‘yapping’ budgerigar live on Good Morning Britain.
Updated on: Wednesday 12 September 2018.
Charlotte Hawkins took a hilarious swipe at Piers Morgan as she likened him to a “yapping” budgerigar. The newsreader, 43, teased her co-host, 53, live on Good Morning Britain earlier today. Shortly after the show began, Piers said: “I was at my parents’ the other day and they were looking after my sister’s menagerie of animals while they were on holiday, including budgerigars.
“I had forgotten just how annoying budgerigars are. Oh god the yapping that goes on. The dogs were bad enough.”
Charlotte joked: “What happened to our word?”
As the rest of the presenters laughed, Piers looked annoyed and said to a giggling Charlotte: “Oh, it’s one of those is it? I’ve been watching you recently Hawkins. You’re building a whole cottage industry out of abusing me.” It comes after Charlotte revealed she often gets irritated by her co-host Piers, and admitted one particular incident really took the biscuit.
She said she “lost it” with Piers after he continually interrupted her news bulletin.
The star told Woman & Home magazine: “Just recently he was having a cup of tea and he kept putting it in front of my shot and blocking me out.
“It was driving me nuts, and it was driving the director nuts who told Piers to stop doing it. Then he did it one more time and I lost it. He’s like a child.”
The interview also included Charlotte’s fellow GMB stars Susanna Reid, 47, and Kate Garraway, 51. They were asked who Piers annoys the most, and, recalling another recent moment when he barged her out of the way to win an egg and spoon race, Charlotte confessed it was her.
The newsreader said: “Probably me… or Susanna, but she keeps calm about it.
“I don’t know whether she’s got a little doll that she sticks pins in behind the desk or something – maybe why that’s why she’s so calm on-screen.”
Susanna added: “I think I’ve just developed an epic level of zen.
“I see Charlotte about to do her thunder look and just think, ‘Just develop the epic level of zen!'”
