Chris was first introduced to ‘spinning records’ when he saw “Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince” perform live, and he fell in love with it immediately. He bought his first table after getting a job at a fast food joint, and his Dad bought him a matching counterpart.
Before joining Incubus, his financial situation was so bad that had been forced to go without electricity in his apartment because he could not afford the bill. But that all changed in 1998 when Kilmore went from semi-anonymity to performing in front of thousands of people practically overnight.
All because he got the chance to try out for Incubus who had recently parted ways with their original DJ. He had one audition with the band, who was instantly impressed with him and was immediately taken aboard. Incubus was in the middle of a tour when he joined so he was forced to quickly learn the parts for over a dozen songs before he went straight into a busy touring schedule.
