Cristina Urgel is a Spanish television presenter and actress who plays drug trafficker Patricia O’Farell in the television soap opera “La Reina del Sur,” well known for her role in various television series and shows and also her role as Patty O’Farrel La Teniente in the series La Reina del Sur. She is also popular as the presenter on the MTV Spain music channel.

Urgel spent most of her time in Logrono. Since her small age, Urgel developed her passion for singing. She also studied six years for her music career later she studied law and completed her degree. She also spent her time studying dance, drama, and photography, which led her to participate in Miss Spain in 1997 and ended up being eight finalists. From 2004-2005, Christina worked as a presenter on the MTV Spain channel. She also pursued her career as an actress and portrayed as Carla in television series.

Once the selectivity was passed, he studied law at the University of La Rioja while working as a model. During this time he lived for a long time in Italy and studied photography, dance, and drama. In 2011,  the Queen of the South premiered successfully throughout the American continent and Spain, co-produced by Telemundo, belonging to the North American NBC, and the Spanish channel Antena 3. In this adaptation of the novel by Arturo Perez-Reverte, Urgel plays a girl of Irish-Spanish origin who in prison gets to know Teresa plays, along with Kate del Castillo, one of the protagonists. She experiences an intense and platonic love affair with the powerful drug trafficker, in intimate scenes that, she said, she played without any sense of discomfort.

Teresa’s friend and partner since they coincide in prison. Together they will become rich and powerful as drug traffickers. Double origin Irish and Spanish. Aristocrat, cultured and elegant, will fall in love with Teresa from the beginning, although she will hide it under increasing cynicism and harshness.  July of 2012 she participated in the soap opera Bandolera de Antena 3 in the role of Eva Hernandez.

Since September 2012, she has been the deputy director of the digital radio channel Happy FM, as well as presenting the program La Lieutenant Urgelon Monday through Thursday from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

In June-July 2013 he acted in the theater work Arreglando el Mundo, at the Teatro Compac Gran Vía in Madrid.
