Christine Pitawanich is an American professional news anchor and reporter. Christine currently works at KGW news as a KGW reporter.
She is a huge foodie who loves to ski, travel, hunt for great deals and have fun in the outdoors.
Christine Pitawanich Early Life, Education and Career
She was born and raised in the Seattle area. The reporter is a Pacific Northwest girl. There’s no place she’d rather be. The year 2010, she received a master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in New York. She also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Washington.
When she earned her master’s degree, she filed reports from Washington D.C. for WFFT FOX Ft. Wayne News in Indiana. She has also interned at KOMO-TV in Seattle. She joined the KGW team in July 2015 as a reporter. During some days she works with a photographer, other days she shoots video, edits and writes stories herself.
Prior to coming to Portland, Christine worked in Southern Oregon at KOBI-TV NBC5 News in Medford. The year 2011, she started in the Rogue Valley as a reporter, then worked her way to the anchor desk. As of the time she left, she reported then anchored the 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. broadcasts five days a week. In her time at KOBI, Christine covered everything from wildfires to teacher strikes.

I’m just as guilty as everyone else on the internet who seem to be using #FaceApp to make themselves look older in the #FaceAppChallenge BUT I (along with many others) got a little worried last night when I saw people posting some concerns on social media. A couple of those concerns: that the fine print says the app can use your image for basically whatever it wants. Some people are also worried ALL their pictures are being taken by the app developers based in Russia.
