Wanting to pursue a career in country music, he dropped out of two grades after graduating from Florida South College and then moved to Nashville, Tennessee. Then, he started to improve his songwriting skills by writing more than one hundred songs every year.
Steve Holy recorded one of his songs “Lead Me On” for his 2006 album Brand New Girlfriend. In the end, Weeks caught the attention of RCA Record executives, who signed a record deal with him in late 2007. He was selected as an actor in the TV series on Fox Television in Nashville.
