Cardinale attended the Saint-Joseph-de-l’Apparition school of Carthage. She also studied at the Paul Cambon School, where she graduated and she wanted to pursue her career in teaching. All the same, Claudia’s characters were described as “silent, weird, and wild” during her teenage times

Cardinale’s career started off since her young age when she shot short films under a French director, René Vautier, Anneaux d’Or. After a few years, the actress proceeded to Hollywood to shoot; BLINDFOLD of 1965, LOST COMMAND of 1966, THE PROFESSIONALS of 1966, THE HELL WITH HEROES of 1968 and the cult epic western by Sergio Leone ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST of 1968, an American-Italian co-production with Jason Robards, Charles Bronson, and Henry Fonda.
In her career, Claudia partnered herself with filmmakers,m the likes of Marcello Mastroianni, Franco Nero, Burt Lancaster, Sean Connery, Rock Hudson, Alain Delon, Anthony Quinn, John Wayne, and David Niven. She returned to Europe, where she acted IL GIORNO DELLA CIVETTA (1968), which brought her to the David di Donatello Award for the best female role, and A GIRL IN AUSTRALIA of 1971.
