During his freshman year at Missouri State, Harbor was redshirted. In his redshirt freshman year, he played 11 games, starting two at wide receiver, with six catches for 73 yards in 2006. As a redshirt sophomore in 2007, Harbor switched to tight end and set school records with 45 receptions and 647 yards. He earned All-America and All-Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) honors.
