Colin Cotterill Career
Colin worked as a physical education instructor in Israel, a primary school teacher in Australia, a counselor for educationally handicapped adults in the U.S., and a university lecturer in Japan. He has also taught and trained teachers in Thailand, and on the Burmese border. While in Laos, he spent several years with UNESCO. He wrote and produced a forty-program language teaching series; English By Accident, for Thai national television.
In 2000, Colin published his first novel: The Night Bastard. The book has positive comments and this led him to write full-time. He received the Crime Writers’ Association “Dagger in the Library” award for being “the author of crime fiction whose work is currently giving the greatest enjoyment to library users” on June 15, 2009. Since 1990 Cotterill has been a regular cartoonist for national publications. On 4 April 2004, he launched an illustrated bilingual column, Cycle Logical, in the news magazine Matichon Weekly.
