Currently, he works at an American sports television network called SEC Network as a lead anchor. Previously, before joining ESPN+ in June 2004, Nowkhah worked as a reporter and sports anchor at KOTV in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for four years.

In July 2025, Nowkhah replaces Chris Plank, a football sideline reporter and OU softball play-by-play announcer who moved to KREF.
