Grohl was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014. Since 1994, Grohl has been the primary songwriter, lead vocalist, and rhythm guitarist of the rock band Foo Fighters. He founded the band in 1994.

Grohl’s main guitar is the Gibson Trini Lopez signature edition which resembles the Gibson ES-335, however the f-holes are diamond shaped and the headstock is different. He claims to have seen the guitar in a music store in the early 90’s and bought it for its unusual looks. Grohl has used it on every Foo Fighters album since.
