David made his screen debut in the 1985 film Chain Letters and went on to play small roles in movies like No Picnic (1986), Five Corners (1987), Kiss Daddy Goodnight (1987), and The Big Blue (1988). Transitioning to television, he had supporting roles in series such as Monsters, The Equalizer, and Law & Order. Notably, he was a starring cast member on the sitcom Hey Dude, appearing in all five seasons from 1989 to 1991.
