David Alexander Clarke Jr. (born August 21, 1956) is an American former law enforcement official who served as Sheriff of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, from 2002 to 2017. He is a vocal supporter of former President Donald Trump and is known for his controversial views on race and crime.

Clarke’s career began in the United States Navy, where he served for four years. After leaving the Navy, he joined the Milwaukee Police Department, where he served for 24 years.
