Who or what has been your most memorable interview or story?
“Covering Hurricane Katrina was the toughest assignment I’ve ever had. It was also the most rewarding. I saw the destruction that was unimaginable. Entire neighborhoods no longer exist, streets and landmarks were gone, and there were stairs leading up to foundations but no houses.
But in the middle of it all, we found hope. Like the mailman who continued his route, even though mail boxes were missing, addresses were gone, and sometimes there was no house at all. The entire experience made me appreciate life and the little things. It also gave me a new respect for Mother Nature!”
