Morgane was born on November 28, 1982, in Tusla, OK, United States. He attended Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, OK, and completed his course in 1997.
Immediately after high school, he joined Jackson State University, in Jackson, MI, where he studied and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2001. Furthermore, he continued with his studies and earned his Master’s Degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in 2002.
Besides, he helped found the J-School’s student chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) while working on his Master’s at Columbia. He also interned with CBS News and 48 Hours, and was named both a Dupont Scholar and CBS Scholar.

Morgan found his first announcing activity at CBS offshoot WJTV in Jackson, MS, after graduation. At WJTV, DeMarco served as a news anchor and reporter. Immediately after completing college Morgan got his first job at CBS affiliate TV station WJTV located in Jackson, MI. He worked as a reporter before going to different stations later. After working for several TV stations, DeMarco joined CBS in Oct 2015 to serve as the news correspondent.
Additionally, in April 2019 he moved to CBS affiliate KCBS located in Los Angeles, CA. Since then, he has anchored the 4:30-7:00 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. newscasts, alongside Suzanne Marques.
