DeStorm Power is an American YouTube personality, musician, comedian, and Emmy Nominated Actor. He is also a founder and President of the Zeus Network and creator of the internet series “CAUGHT”.

DeStorm moved from Maryland to New York to pursue his music endeavors in 2001. He set out to establish himself as a performer, using YouTube as a platform to share his singing, songwriting, and production skills with the online community after interning and ghostwriting at Atlantic Records, Universal, and various other record labels. His videos are typically comedic, and also often incorporate rapping and beatboxing.

Power was an accomplished triple jumper and Master personal trainer, and was also notably invited to the Olympic Trials. He appeared as Mr. T in the first season of Epic Rap Battles of History from which he achieved a gold record. Power moved to Los Angeles, California in 2011 joining his manager Sara Pena and started Big Frame a Multi Channel Network and also founded Forefront.TV which focuses on urban lifestyle and music. He then moved on to Paradigm Talent Agency for his acting career then William Morris Endeavor before he decided to go independent.

He hosted the reboot of MTV’s Punk’d with co-host King Bach, which aired on BET in August 2015. He is alsoa founder and President of The Zeus Network which launched July 13, 2018. Power is a 2011 American Music Awards honoree and was also nominated for five Streamy Awards winning three. DeStorm was Emmy Nominated for Outstanding Actor in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series in 2018 for his original creation Caught The Series.

DeStorm started a minute long series on Instagram called Caught on 9 April 2017. This series later would be aired on YouTube and Facebook. It involves DeStorm facing problems with his girlfriend, his side-chick, his friends, enemies and others. This series ends with a cliffhanger every Sunday. The series has garnered over 300 Million combined views making it the most watched short form series on the internet.

Caught the Series was nominated for an Emmy Award and also 4 Streamy Streamy Awards, winning two. Season 2 was launched on July 13, 2018 on The Zeus Network, an SVOD streaming platform founded by DeStorm Power, King Bach, Amanda Cerny and Lemuel Plummer. It includes celebrities such as Snoop Dogg, King Bach, Lamorne Morris, Alphonso McAuley, Klarity, Lele Pons, Reedo Brown, Bradley Martin, Leli Hernandez, Janina, Taylor Stevens, and many others.

His YouTube channel, registered under the username DeStorm, has more than 2,750,000 subscribers, and is also used primarily for his musical endeavors. Power’s videos on the channel have been viewed over 375,000,000 times. “Wuz Up World? (What’s up World?)”—Power’s catch phrase—can be heard at the start or end of every video. He often composes and performs covers or Beatbox covers of well known songs or creates content for major brands such as Pepsi, GE, Yahoo and also Nintendo.

He also creates original content based upon subscribers’ challenges and suggestions, such as rapping in alphabetical order or even name dropping various movie titles in a rap. DeStorm occasionally collaborates with other popular YouTube personalities and recording artists, such as Mystery Guitar Man, Freddie Wong, Ray William Johnson, Nice Peter and also Kina Grannis. One of his most popular series on the channel is Rap Up, which Power began in 2009. DeStorm also competed in a commercial contest hosted by Heinz Ketchup and was a finalist. Despite the success of his YouTube channel, DeStorm announced in 2013 that his next major song release will be televised on MTV.

He authored an op-ed on New Media Rockstars in April 2013. He detailed his concerns with the broken view counter on his DeStorm channel. Power also won two comedy awards. He was also featured as a headliner on the Digitour in the summer of 2010. Power and other YouTubers traveled around the country performing their songs from YouTube. Zeus to Bow Comedies From DeStorm Power, BlameItOnKway, Michael Blackson on Subscription-Video Service

Influencer-driven subscription video service Zeus is set to premiere three new original comedies this fall starring social-media stars DeStorm Power, BlameItOnKway and Michael Blackson.

The $3.99-per-month service, launched this past July, is geared around a diverse, millennial-targeted slate of premium content starring and produced by popular creators. Zeus was co-founded last year by a trio of top social-media personalities — DeStorm Power, Amanda Cerny and King Bach — and TV producer Lemuel Plummer, who serves as president and CEO.

Comedy series “Bad Escorts,” created by and starring DeStorm Power, hits Zeus on Oct. 20. Power plays a pizza-delivery man who, along with his also-struggling-to-make-ends-meet buddies form a male escort service, managed by their mutual friend Candice. After achieving a little success despite no proper training, the motley crew must learn to adapt to the unfamiliar world of male escorts.

Power, who also serves as co-president of Zeus, received a 2018 Emmy nomination for actor in a short-form comedy or drama series for the streaming service’s “Caught” season one, billed as a “hip-hopera.”

BlameItOnKway’s “Titi Do You Love Me?”, premiering Nov. 4, was created by and stars the social-media comedian (whose real name is Kwaylon Rogers) in his first Zeus original series. BlameItOnKway has nearly 4 million followers and counts Tyler Perry, Rihanna and Kylie Jenner among his fans.

BlameItOnKway made a cameo as his Titi alter-ego in Janet Jackson’s tribute to her brother Michael Jackson’s video “Remember The Time,” featuring her new single “Made for Now” — and now Titi is getting a show of her own. In “Titi Do You Love Me?” the self-proclaimed (and wholly delusional) queen of beauty, style and grace is now looking for her king to fill her life. Through a series of outrageous competitions for the seven-round elimination process, the selected bachelors do their best — or worst — to be the last man standing to claim Titi as their queen.

The third new show, “Dr. Blackson,” stars Ghanaian-born comedian-actor Michael Blackson (“Next Friday”) and premieres Nov. 10. Dr. Blackson is untrained, unlicensed and uncertified — but none of that matters to his roster of troubled clients. The “advice” series is an extension of Blackson’s popular “Advice Column” segments on his Instagram page, which has 3.3 million followers.

Previous Zeus original series that have already launched include “Caught” season two starring and written by DeStorm Power; “A Taste of Dance with Amanda Cerny”; “Your Best Life,” starring and produced by King Bach; “The Lab Ratz,” starring, written and produced by Ry Doon, Luke Flipp and Marlon Webb; and “The Scholarship,” starring Young Ezee and Natalie Odell.
