Dwane Casey NBA
Dwane left the Japanese Basketball League in 1994. This was after receiving an assistant coaching position for the Seattle SuperSonics and during his tenure in Seattle, the team won four division titles.
He landed his first job as head coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves, at the beginning of the 2005–06 NBA season, replacing Kevin McHale. His overall record with the team was 53–69. Dwane was fired on January 23, 2007, after a season and a half with the Timberwolves. He was replaced by assistant coach Randy Wittman.
Dwane served as an assistant coach for the Dallas Mavericks during the 2008-09 season. The Mavericks later won a division title during the 2009-10 season.
