Early Life and Education

Sinclair was born in the United Kingdom. He originally had aspirations to be an actor, but after struggling to break through in the industry, he returned to his passion: writing. “He started out acting but the work just dried up,” Colman told the Daily Mail in 2013. “And, actually, for him I think it was a bit of a relief because he’d always wanted to write and he’s brilliant at it.”

She added that he was working on a novel at the time, but was keeping the process “secret” from her. Now, Sinclair mainly works as a screenwriter and producer, even producing Colman’s 2024 project Wicked Little Letters.
