He was the “Overall Servant”, formerly called “Presiding Minister”, of the Members Church of God International (MCGI), an international Christian religious organization with headquarters in Pampanga, Philippines. He was the main host of the radio and television program Ang Dating Daan which is considered the longest-running religious program in the Philippines.
Soriano was known for his signature method of “Bible Expositions”. It is a live Bible symposium where guests get the chance to ask impromptu questions personally or via live video streaming or telephone calls. He was also known for straightforward preaching and “exposing” what he believed are doctrinal errors of various local and international religious groups. Eliseo Soriano Televangelism
Eliseo Soriano’s career started when he was baptized on his 17 birthday in Seneguelasan and become an official member of the Church of God in Christ Jesus, pillar and support of the truth founded by Nicholas Perez. Later Nicholas Perez who was then the church presiding minister restored the title minister Soriano.
Nicholas Perez died and Levita Gugulan was appointed as the temporary minister of the church. After sometime Eliseo denounced Levita saying that women should not be leaders in the church. Eliseo later left the church together with some of his allies and formed a new church called the church of God in Christ Jesus, pilar, and ground of the truth.
Later Gugulan raised a case in the supreme court due to the similarity of the names of the two churches. Gugulan won the case and Eliseo later changed his church group name to Members Church of God International. Soriano then started the Ang Dating Daan radio program which later becomes a tv program in 1983.

Ang Dating Daan (Tagalog for The Old Path) is a religious radio and television program in the Philippines produced by the Members of the Church of God International. It is primarily hosted by Eli Soriano. In Portugal and Brazil, it is broadcast as O Caminho Antigo which is a direct translation for The Old Path. In Latin America, it is broadcast as El Camino Antiguo which is also a direct translation of the English name.
Selected episodes of the program can also be viewed on the Internet through the Members Church of God International websites and on YouTube. It has been recognized as one of the longest-running religious television programs in the Philippines.
