Eric Kramer is a former American football quarterback who was born and brought up in the United State. He played for the Atlanta Falcons as a replacement player during the NFL player’s strike and later spent some time in the CFL with the Calgary Stampeders.
In 1991 Kramer would return to the NFL, when he became a surprise starter for the Detroit Lions after injuries sidelined Rodney Peete. Since 1962, Kramer played in 13 games, led the Lions to a 12–4 record, their only playoff victory, and a trip to the NFC Championship Game.
