Adam Thomas Interview
Ryan Thomas’ brother Adam accuses Roxanne Pallett of acting in Jeremy Vine interview as she apologises for punch claims
Updated: Monday 3 Sep 2018
Roxanne Pallett apologised for falsely accusing Ryan Thomas of assaulting her, during their time together on Celebrity Big Brother. The former Emmerdale actress appeared on Jeremy Vine for her first interview since leaving the show, admitting she ‘got it wrong’.
However, Ryan’s brother Adam Thomas has since blasted the 35-year-old’s appearance, and accused her of acting in the chat.
Taking to Twitter, he told his 346k followers: ‘Jeremy vine to scared to speak up too pc pathetic interview !!
‘To everyone that knows her and knows the real her and the lies and the stories she has spun for several years it is so frustrating to watch…
‘Good scene tho Rox annnddd cut!!’ Roxanne left CBB over the weekend, after she accused Ryan of punching her ‘repeatedly, intentionally and aggressively’.
Viewers called for her to be axed after cameras showed the 34-year-old sparring playfully, before tapping her on the waist. She later appeared on Jeremy Vine’s first show on Channel 5, on September 3, apologising for her actions.
Discussing the ‘punch’, she explained: ‘When I look back on that footage, as soon as I left the house… I got it wrong.
‘Everything in that house becomes heightened, a look, an action, a comment. All I can say is in the moment, it felt worse than it was. ‘It was the word deliberately that I regret, massively.’
She also apologised to his family and viewers for her ‘overreaction’.
‘I massively apologise to not only Ryan, but his friends, his family, his fans, every single person who watched that and who justifiably saw an overreaction to what wasn’t a malicious act,’ she continued.
‘Because I am sensitive, I mistook what was playful. There was no malicious intention behind that, and that is what I apologise for because I shouldn’t have questioned his motivation. I got it wrong.’
She also revealed the incident had forced her to ‘take a look at herself’.
‘I’ve had to take a massive step back from everything in my life,’ she said. I don’t blame anyone. I’ve also had to realise I’m quite an animated person and dramatic, they’re my character traits I need to look at and investigate and better myself.’
While opening up about her past, she explained: ‘I’ve actually been a victim of domestic violence, years ago. I’ve spoken out about it, briefly. I’ve worked with Women’s Aid because of my own experience and perhaps they were right in their recent comment that my reaction was perhaps a telltale sign of the fact that I have been in a situation like that. ‘In my life, I have become conditioned to be over sensitive to things like that. I’m devastated, I would be mortified to think that even one person out there felt that I’d discredited or undermined abuse – because that is not my intention.’ Roxy ended her appearance by begging Ryan for his forgiveness. ‘This is my reality now. I’m here to acknowledge a mistake.’ She added. ‘I hope that people can forgive me and I hope that Ryan can forgive me in time.
