Eva Habermann: That’s why Bonn is so adorable
Updated On: 6th March 2018
She has one of the main roles in the acclaimed boulevard piece “Strange Relatives” by René Heinersdorff at Bonn’s Contra-Kreis-Theater (read all about the premiere here). Acting star Eva Habermann (42), a fan favorite in TV films and series for 25 years, has already taken Bonn really seriously. By Stefanie Monien
EXPRESS met the sparkling, lively sports cannon in their favorite tea house “VarieTee” on the Bonn market.
Eva Habermann: born for the stage
Immediately it becomes clear: Eva Habermann was born for the (theater) stage. With hands, feet and great enthusiasm, she enthuses about her engagement at the Bonn Theater. “I have been in Bonn since January 31st. But the piece, and above all the team of “old theater hare” like Christian Wolff (79), director Horst Johanning (75) and Marianne Rogée (82) is fantastic. The wonderful Marianne is a sweetheart and a great colleague, she has given me many valuable tips. ”

That’s what Eva Habermann likes at the Contra circle
“I like to play in the Contra-Kreis-Theater, because you are so close to the audience and you immediately hear their reaction. When everyone shines and rejoices then that’s the best gift for me! ”
And then there’s a big compliment to all colleagues: “You’re only as good as the whole ensemble. In “foreign relatives” the team spirit is capitalized, we support each other. ”
Not the brightest candle on the cake
Eva Habermann, who quarrels so charmingly with foreign words in the play (“in my role, I’m really not the brightest candle on the cake”), mischievously reveals: “My friend was recently in the audience – and had more stage fright than me.” Why this? “Because he had asked me before and therefore knew exactly where my weak points were …”
Bonn is so adorable
And what does Eva Habermann, who was born in Hamburg and lives in Berlin , like with Bonn? “A really lovely and quiet town. People are not tired of culture, perhaps because the supply here is naturally more manageable than, for example, in other major cities. ”
She was not often mentioned on the street: “There are the Bonner, I think, rather reserved.” But this unagitated is what makes Bonn so special: “Immediately after a performance I was in the” Roses “, as Suddenly several elderly gentlemen came up to me and thanked me for the wonderful theater evening. That’s what I found very charming, “says Eva Habermann, sipping her” Spicy Ginger ” tea .
Real sports cannon
Anyone who thinks that Eva Habermann is fully occupied with acting is mistaken. Because: “For one thing, I’m just beginning to settle in Bonn, have already opened two yoga studios in Annagraben and Lennéstraße. Without sports, nothing works for me, “says the passionate skier and windsurfer. “Sport helps with stress reduction. And in my free time, I’m glad to be just Eve. I do not have to talk much about the job. ”
Friendships in the industry are already difficult: “In the industry, especially on the TV or cinema set, unfortunately there is often a competitive thinking. This is a pity.”
“You should do something new at the age of 42,” says Eva Habermann, stating that when asked what she desperately wants to see in Bonn: “The Women’s Museum. That’s what I drove by recently and wondered what was behind it. “
