Gemma Atkinson Red Alert 3
Rising Star, Third World War and Uprising
The Soviet-Allied conflict affected Eva McKenna at a young age which inspired her to enlist. She was the top student at the academy during her time. It was rumored that she acted as the ‘poster girl’ whenever the Allies achieved a rare (and later continuous) military victory. By the time the Soviets had almost entirely occupied Europe, Eva had been promoted to lieutenant and tasked to personally attend to the highest-ranking members of Allied coalition. At this critical junction she was assigned to assist a field commander resist the Soviet invasion of the Britain.
As the war dragged on with the Soviets and eventually the Empire of the Rising Sun, the lieutenant developed an attraction to the commander and she sought to develop a personal relationship with the commander, often in competition with Agent Tanya who had also developed an interest towards the Commander, as the conflict progressed. At war’s end this rivalry came to a head when both women invited the commander out on a celebratory date.
It was anyone’s guess who the Commander went out with.
Lt. McKenna again assisted the commander in the post-war period, this time to suppress dissident provincial shoguns in Japan and an attempt by Crown Prince Tatsu to reinvigorate the Empire of the Rising Sun.
Gemma Atkinson Interview
Why are you taking part in Strictly this year?
Gemma Atkinson: I’m taking part because I want to challenge myself in any way possible really. To be in a sparkly frock with heels on, learning to dance live on a dance floor is way out of my comfort zone. Anything to do with the gym I’m comfortable with but anything to do with girly stuff, I’m not. Strictly is the show that everyone wants to watch, you can watch it with your niece and nephew or your nanna and grandad. It’s a show that everyone across the country gets behind so I think for me not to do it when it’s offered would be silly. I want to really make the most of the opportunity!
How would you rate your dancing?
Gemma Atkinson: I’d say my dancing is maybe 4/10 or when I have a drink in me, 6/10. I did disco dancing when I was about 9 or 10 years old but as far as ballroom and Latin training goes, I couldn’t even say what dance is what.
What are you looking for in a dance partner?
Gemma Atkinson: I’d like somebody that is tall and strong, I’m 5’9, and 11 stone. I’m heavy, that’s a lot to throw around and lift up. Someone who’s strict when they need to be but also can have a laugh. I don’t like doing things that I don’t enjoy so there has to be an element of fun with it.
Have you been given any advice by anyone?
Gemma Atkinson: Yes, I’ve been told to just embrace it for what it is. Don’t look at the next week; don’t look at what’s coming, just focus on it week by week. That’s apparently the best thing to do.
