Lucy Pargeter Interview
Emmerdale’s Lucy Pargeter addresses Roxanne Pallett actions from 12 years ago during online rant.
Updated: 4 Sep 2018
Emmerdale star Lucy Pargeter did not mince her words when she caught up with Roxanne Pallett’s behaviour in the Celebrity Big Brother house, which saw Roxanne accuse Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas of ‘repeatedly punching her’ when he was playfully sparring.
Since leaving the house, Roxanne has apologised for the allegations, admitting that she ‘got it wrong’ in televised interviews with Jeremy Vine and a less-than-impressed CBB host Emma Willis.
Over the course of the week as the effects of Roxanne’s actions led to Ryan breaking down in tears, a large number of Roxanne’s former Emmerdale cast members – not least Charley Webb and Sammy Winward – have spoken out against her, saying that this is just the latest incident that forms a pattern of behaviour.
Others, such as Danny Miller and Kelvin Fletcher, have spoken out to support Ryan and condemn Roxanne. Lucy Pargeter, who plays Chas Dingle, has also taken to Twitter, referring to events that happened 12 years ago.
During the rant, Lucy branded her as ‘off the scale’ and sarcastically suggested that she get an Oscar for her performance. She added: ‘Thank god people are finally seeing.’

As part of a series of tweets, Lucy also questioned the legitimacy of pictures showing Roxanne wheeling a suitcase on a petrol station forecourt following her departure from the house and also praised Denise Welch for not holding back while talking about the topic on Loose Women.
Metro.co.uk has reached out to Roxanne’s representatives for comment. Last night, Roxanne appeared on a pre-recorded interview with Emma Willis as part of the Celebrity Big Brother episode. Viewers and Emmerdale cast members praised Emma for her tough interview.
In the conversation, Roxanne admitted that she was now the ‘most hated girl in Britain.’ She said: ‘It’s a lot. It’s a lot to deal with. It’s the title I feel everyone’s giving me at the moment and all I can do is own it and accept it and apologise and try and take each day now better in all those things I’m realising.’
She added: ‘I feel devastated. It cripples me with embarrassment and shame that I could’ve put someone in that position – seeing Ryan in the diary room distressed…’ Ryan, whose most recent TV role was in Neighbours, is now the favourite to win the show.
