Natasha Bassett is an Australian actress, screenwriter, and director. She rose to fame for playing Gloria DeLamour in the 2016 film Hail, Caesar! She also had recurring roles in the television series Rake and Camp. Natasha is also known for playing Britney Spears in the Lifetime biopic Britney Ever After, which premiered on February 18, 2017.
In 2014 she wrote and directed a short film titled Kite, which was accepted into the Rhode Island International Film Festival. Natasha also appeared in the supporting role of Gloria DeLamour in the film Hail, Caesar!.

Natasha was born in Sydney, New South Wales. She was raised by her mother. When she was fourteen years old she went on her first audition and landed the lead role in the Australian Theatre for Young People’s production of “Romeo and Juliet”, and has never looked back, moving on to study, write, and perform at the National Institute of Dramatic Art. Natasha performed under the artistic direction of Cate Blanchett in Sydney Theatre Company’s stage production of “Bookends”.

Natasha Bassett Career
When Natasha began her career as an actor she has in several films landed the lead in the MTV film, Dungoona (2009), and appeared on several Australian television series (Rake (2010), Wild Boys (2011), Cops LAC (2010)), while attending classes. After graduating high school, she appeared in P.J. Hogan’s film, Mental(2012), alongside Toni Collette and Liev Schreiber, and traveled to Paris to play the lead in the feature, The Last Goodbye (2013).
When she was 19 years old, she was awarded a screenwriting scholarship from the ArtStart Screenwriters Program, where she wrote and directed her short film, Kite (2013). The acclaimed short was featured in the Rhode Island International Film Festival, Balinale International Film Festival, and the Big Bear Lake International Film Festival.
Natasha moved to New York City, she attended Atlantic Acting School, and then she relocated to Los Angeles for the NBC series, Camp (2013). Natasha appeared alongside Olivia Cooke and Mary Steenburgen, in the indie drama, Katie Says Goodbye (2016), and as 50s-era starlet Gloria DeLamour in Joel Coen and Ethan Coen’s Hail, Caesar! (2016), with George Clooney, Scarlett Johansson, and Channing Tatum.

Natasha had no idea she was auditioning to play one of the world’s biggest pop stars when she first tried out for the lead role in Britney Ever After, Lifetime’s upcoming unauthorized biopic on Britney Spears. “I had no script, and her name was Jenny Jean, and for some reason I thought it was set in the ’50s,” she said with a laugh during a phone call in 2017.
