Paul Pogba Biography | Paul Labile Pogba
Paul Pogba born as Paul Labile Pogba, is a French professional footballer born on 15th March 1993 in Lagny-sur-Marne, France. He is a midfielder for Premier League club Manchester United and the French national team. He plays as a central midfielder but can also play as an attacking midfielder, defensive midfielder, and deep-lying playmaker. During the 2014 FIFA World Cup he was awarded the Best Young Player Award for his performances.
After beginning his senior career with Manchester United and spending two years with the club, limited appearances forced him to depart to join Italian side Juventus on a free transfer in 2012, and helped the club to four consecutive Serie A titles, as well as two Coppa Italia and two Supercoppa Italiana titles.
During his time in Italy, Pogba established himself as one of the most promising young players in the world, and received the Golden Boy award in 2013, followed by the Bravo Award in 2014, while also being named by The Guardian as one of the ten most promising young players in Europe. In 2016, Pogba was named to the 2015 UEFA Team of the Year, as well as the 2015 FIFA FIFPro World XI, after helping Juventus to the 2015 UEFA Champions League Final, their first in 12 years. Pogba’s performances at Juventus allowed him to return to Manchester United in 2016 for a then-world record transfer fee of €105 million (£89.3 million). The fee also remains the highest paid by or involving an English club.
Internationally, at under-20 level, he captained France to victory at the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup and took home the award for the Best Player for his performances during the tournament. He made his debut for the senior French national team on 22 March 2013 in a 3–1 win against Georgia, and scored his first World Cup goal on 30 June 2014 against Nigeria; he was awarded the Best Young Player Award for his performances at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, after reaching the quarter-final. In the Serie A, he had his first competitive appearance against Chievo on 22 September 2012 and playing the full 90 minutes. He also made his first UEFA Champions League appearance in a 1–1 home draw against Shakhtar Donetsk. He received the 2013’s Golden Boy for the best young player in Europe in December.
The 2014/2015 season saw him become a key player as he broke into the starting line-up, and made more appearances (51) for the club than any other player across all competitions that season, as well as scoring 9 goals. He won his second consecutive Serie A title under manager Antonio Conte and his team reached the Europa League semi-finals.
He continued his successful playing even under his new manager, Massimiliano Allegri. He renewed his contract with Juventus on October 24, tying him to the club until 2019. He was shortlisted as one of the 23 candidates for the 2014 Ballon d’Or on 28 October. He was the youngest on the list at the age of 21 years. The shirt number is prestigious as it had been worn by Alessandro Del Piero, Roberto Baggio and Michel Platini.
He was nominated for the 2015 UEFA Team of the Year on 24 November and on 8th January 2016 he was named to the team. Three days later he was named to the 2015 FIFA FIFPro World XI. He also finished the league season as the top assist provider in Serie A, with a personal record of 12 assists, alongside Miralem Pjanić.
Pogba’s Return to Manchester United
The player returned to his previous club, Manchester United, on 8th August 2016. He received a five-year contract for a transfer fee at €105 million (£89.3 million) plus bonuses of €5 million. The fee was the highest record by then, having surpassed the former record holder Gareth Bale.
It was however announced by the Football Association that Pogba would be suspended for Manchester United’s opening Premier League fixture of the 2016–17 season. Man U was playing against Bournemouth at the time and Pogba’s suspension was due to two yellow cards he had accumulated in the previous season’s edition with Juventus (the Coppa Italia).
He made his first appearance for the club on 19th August 2016 over Southampton in the Premier League and they won 2–0. On 24 September, he scored his first goal in the Premier League with a header against defending champions Leicester City. In 2018, Pogba took over temporary captaincy of the club in the opening games of the 2018-19 due to Antonio Valencia’s (the team captain) absence. However, Man U’s manager Jose Mourinho made an announcement that Pobga would no longer captain following a series of disappointing results. The two, (Pogba and Mourinho) were even filmed having a confrontation during a training session although Mourinho asserted that there was “no problem” between them.

Pobga has played for his country France severally, beginning with the national youth football team and earned caps at all levels for which he was eligible. He was named in France’s squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup on 6th June 2016. Their first match was against Honduras and they won the game 3–0 after a foul from Wilson Palacios which led to a red card for the Honduran and a penalty kick that was converted by Karim Benzema to give France the lead. In the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the Les Bleus were eliminated in the quarter-finals of the competition after losing to Germany, the eventual winners, on 4 July.

Paul Pogba Haircuts – Paul Pogba Hair
Manchester United star Paul Pogba is known for two things; dabbing after every goal scored and his hairstyles.
- The star: Paul Pogba is a star for sure but the Frenchman once went further to tell everyone that he is truly a special footballer. The Man Utd star spotted this hairstyle during his time at Juventus.
- The leopard skin: One of the most infamous from Pogba. Why he went with the hairstyle confuses many but maybe the midfielder wanted to be as fast and agile as a leopard.
- Am Batman: “Am Batman” is one of the most memorable our favorite caped crusader/dark knight has ever said when asked by an henchman who he was. Maybe Pogba felt a connected and decided to go full scale dark knight.
- Football is music to the best: Pogba loves music…if he doesn’t why does he dab like Migos and Olamide? The Frenchman who loves to caress the ball and do tricks which are music to the eyes decided to rock the mic.
- Its a bird, its a plane, its Pogba: “Its a bird, its a plane, its Superman” or maybe its now “its a bird, its a plane, its Pogba” after the midfielder sported an hairstyle with a bird on one side and Pogboom on the other side ahead of Euro 2016.
- Pogback: When Pogba returned to Man United late in the summer he came fresh outta the block with a simple blonde hair. Maybe going blonde like Messi, Aaron Ramsey and Phil Jones isn’t a bad idea.

‘Turin is my home’ – Pogba drops Juventus return hint amid Man Utd unrest
Adopted from: goal.com
Published: 2nd November 2018
The France international will be part of the Red Devils team that travels to Italy on Wednesday 7th November 2018, with the midfielder relishing facing his former side, Juventus.
The Manchester United midfielder has broken his media ban by stating that Juventus represents his “home” amid speculation he could one day return to the Serie A champions.
Last month, the France international claimed that United had told him not to speak to journalists, following the defeat to West Ham. But ahead of United’s Champions League trip to Juventus on Wednesday, Pogba has stated he has always wanted the opportunity to go back to Turin.
“I expected it, it was crazy,” he told RMC Sport. “I spoke with my brother last summer, I said: ‘Imagine, we’re in the same group as Juve’. “For me it’s a pleasure, Turin is my home, it’s there that I scored my first professional goal.”
Speculation that the 25-year-old could rejoin Juve has surfaced as a result, though officials in Italy have moved to quash such rumours.
But it remains clear that Pogba still has an emotional attachment to the Bianconeri, centrally due to his continued contact with current first-team players.
“[Juan] Cuadrado, [Paulo] Dybala, [Leonardo] Bonucci,” Pogba confirmed as players he remains in contact with.
“I’ve always listened to them and we’ve always talked about it, we were a family and obviously we stayed in touch.
“When you’re close to men like [Giorgio] Chiellini, [Gianluigi] Buffon or [Andrea] Pirlo you can only learn.”
Ahead of the calsh at the Allianz Stadium, United have the task of securing back-to-back wins for the first time since September as they take on Bournemouth on Saturday (3rd November).
United will ‘forever’ be my home, says Paul Pogba
Adopted from: metro.co.uk
Published: 1 November 2018
Paul Pogba says Manchester United will ‘forever’ be his home amid speculation that he’s set to leave the club. The Frenchman came through United’s academy but left at the age of 18 for Juventus, only to return in a world record £89million deal five years later. Pogba’s first season back at Old Trafford was a successful one but his relationship with Jose Mourinho has deteriorated since and he’s believed to be keen on leaving the club. However, Pogba claims the Theatre of Dreams will ‘forever’ be his home – no matter what happens in the future.
‘Coming back to Manchester United was like coming home,’ said Pogba. ‘This has always been my home and it forever will be.’
Pogba was stripped of the vice-captaincy earlier this season after angering Mourinho with his criticism of the team’s tactics after a 1-1 draw against Wolves. The Frenchman, 25, is a target for Barcelona and former club Juventus but United do not want to lose their star man.
