Sara Forsberg Biography
Sara Forsberg born Sara Maria Forsberg and professionally known as SAARA, is a Finnish singer, songwriter, YouTube personality, and television presenter. She spent a few years in a music academy in Jakobstad and later studied to become a chef before embarking on a singing career.
As a singer, she was signed to Capitol Records in 2014 and released her debut single in April 2015, which went on to become a top ten hit in her home country of Finland. In early 2016, she left after disagreements with the label and her producer. She has continued to release music as an independent artist in affiliation with Universal Music Group.
Forsberg’s YouTube channel has over a million subscribers and over 100 million views as of November 2017 meaning she has quite the influence on YouTube. She has been praised by the media in a number of countries due to her ability to mimic accents and speech melodies of different languages, which include Japanese, Estuary English, American with California accent, Swedish, French, Arabic and Spanish, using mainly nonexistent words.
She signed a development deal with production and distribution company Omnivision Entertainment My Damn Channel in 2014. She also had a small role in the Hong Kong-Chinese-American film Skiptrace. She is a a co-host of a Finnish game show called Kaikki Vastaan 1 and also co-hosting again the studio contest Kaikki Vastaan 1 in autumn 2018.

The Finnish songwriter was born to a Swedish father and a Finnish mother. They were both music lovers and it her father who introduced Forsberg to musical instrument with double bass as her first choice and later on she fell in love with the cello. They were also Baptist missionaries who were devoted to missionary work, hence, Forsberg traveled widely during her childhood. The family lived in Texas for five years and then in the U.S for a year.
