Siva Kaneswaran Biography
Siva Kaneswaran (Siva Michael Kaneswaran) was born on 16th November 1988 in Blanchardstown, Republic of Ireland. He is a model and a musician who is a member of the boy band ‘The Wanted’.
He grew up in Corduff Blanchardstown, Dublin. At the age of 16, he signed a modeling contract with Storm Model Management. When Siva signed with Storm Model Management in the UK, he soon began acting in Rock Rivals & Uncle Max. As a model, he became a face of several international campaigns and was featured in several fashion magazines including; Vogue, Cosmopolitan and Esquire. In 2013 he was signed to Next Model Management.

While Jayne Collins was doing a mass audition he spotted Kaneswaran through an advertisment and was invited to become part of a huge national audition process in England and Ireland to cast members of a new pop group. He passed the audition and was put together with other band members Max George, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes to form The Wanted.
They released their debut album ‘The Wanted’ in 2010 on rose to No. 4 on the U.K. album charts, and included the No. 1 single “All Time Low.” Their second No. 1 hit, “Glad You Came,” came from their second album, Battleground (2011).

In 2014 The Wanted announced their hiatus. That same year Siva spoke to Elvis Duran’s morning radio show to express his intent on becoming a solo artist and relocated to the United States (U.S.) in order to start his solo career. Towards the end of 2014, Kaneswaran did one more tour with The Wanted in Mexico.
In 2015, Kaneswaran made an appearance in Dash Mihok and his band’s, Diz and the Fam, music video for their single “Love”. In 2016, Kaneswaran wrote the song “You’re Not Alone” for the Eurovision Song Contest sung by Joe and Jake.
Siva Kaneswaran and Nareesha Mccaffrey
Speaking to Hello! magazine, Siva confirmed he proposed to Nareesha McCaffrey during his own surprise birthday party but she turned him down.
“I said to her I wanted a present I would always remember this year by – for you to be my wife…I’d bought the ring months before I’d been trying to figure out the right time. I love her, I love every bit of her.”
After being slightly overwhelmed by the grand gesture, Nareesha initially said no, but then changed her mind, saying:
“I’m still in shock. I don’t like surprises and he really surprised me, but I was so happy. I can’t wait to start planning the wedding”.
Siva proposed with a three carat diamond solitaire ring he’d designed himself after finding out about the supposedly secret birthday bash:
“I found out Nareesha was planning a surprise party on my birthday with her family so I thought perfect! I’d bought the ring months before I’d been trying to figure out the right time.”
